Degussa increases prices for Industrial Specialties

Essen – Effective February 15, 2006 the business line Goldschmidt Industrial Specialties of Degussa AG will increase prices in Europe by 5 to 11 percent for specialty surfactants in industrial applications. The price adjustments were attributed to the ongoing increase in costs for key raw materials for specialty silicone and organic surfactants. Further increasing energy, transportation and packaging costs made these increases inevitable.

These price increases include among others product lines, like TEGO^® Antifoam, TEGO^® RC, TEGOPREN^®, TEGOSIVIN^®, TEGOMER^®, REWOCOROS^® and REWOPOL^®.

A price increase for North America has already been announced in November this year.
