UV Silicones help to save the environment

TEGO^® RC Label Project

The basic idea of the label project by Degussa`s business line Industrial Specialties is to replace the glassine paper release liner coated with thermal curing silicones with BOPP film coated with UV curing silicones. In the past we have shown that this change helps to reduce cost in the label value chain and that the filmic release liner can be recycled. We have now investigated the ecological impact of the switch from glassine paper to BOPP film.
