ISEGA certificates for cationic curing silicones arrived

Release coatings for intended use in contact with foodstuffs have to be in compliance with the laws of the country where the release coatings are used. To enable a judgement whether release coatings on basis of TEGO® RC Products (processed as per our recommendations) are generally suitable for food contact according to German law, we asked ISEGA-Forschungs- und Untersuchungs GmbH/ Germany for a statement. Tests were carried out by means of migration tests. At ISEGA authorised experts for the analysis of packaging materials tested its suitability for use in contact with foodstuffs.
We are glad to inform that according to the certificate we received from ISEGA, beside our free radical curing silicones now also the cationic curing silicones correspond to §31 of LFGB, if the mentioned blends of TEGO® RC release coatings are produced as per our recommendations with regard to application, inerting and cure.
