Evonik Technical Service Lab Opening in Mumbai

The business line Industrial Specialties of Evonik has opened a new technical service laboratory in Mumbai in order to establish its greater presence in India.

The inauguration ceremony took place on October 14, 2008. The purpose of the lab is to act and function as an application technology center for the Indian markets with focus on the Textile and Construction Industry. It is equipped to provide state of the art technical services backup for our sales and marketing activities.

After the traditional opening ceremony Stefan Stadtmueller (Director Innovation Management) and Christian Bierhaus (Business Director IS Asia/Pacific) thanked Shubhangi Devlekar (Head of the new lab) and Sachin Wagh (Representative of Industrial Specialties in India) for their contributions to the new set-up and emphasized the excellent progress of the Industrial Specialties business over the last years. In addition the excellent support of Evonik India by Matthias Hau and Pradeep Phatak was appreciated without this project could not have been realized.

With this new lab Industrial Specialties has made an important step ahead to be able to respond even faster to customers and market requirements and questions of the local markets to establish Evonik Industries as a highly committed and trustworthy organization in the Indian market.
